Liberty 2
The "Biggest Little Truck" in the Business.

Press Release

Liberty 2 was designed with rapid deploy SNG capability - on site and on the air quickly. The vehicle is built on the Dodge Sprinter chassis, the new benchmark for transportable satellite operations. It has the technical capability of much larger SNG trucks and the accessibility of a van making it highly maneuverable in the city and en route to breaking news scenes.

Liberty 2's technical systems have been designed with fast paced broadcast news in mind. The Sprinter can easily accommodate four personnel - with elbow room - and yet fit into the tightest parking situations.
Liberty 2 is a multi path digital/analog hybrid complete with cellular communications and mobile internet. Multiformat playback including Betacam SP, SX, DVCPro and DV are onboard. An Onan 10KW generator provides ample power for lighting rigs and production equipment.

The vehicle is configured for HD transmission utilizing the Tandberg 5788 4:2:2 QPSK/8PSK encoder, with an HDSDI backbone. With its 1.8 meter high gain Vertex antenna, redundant transmission power via E2V/Stellar TWTA's, HD is here - in a smaller package.

An extensive quality control monitoring system has been integrated into the vehicle, as well as fully redundant IFB and intercom units. These features, normally found on only on much larger trucks, make the Liberty 2 Sprinter the best choice for failsafe operations.

In the competitive news gathering business, it's Liberty that provides your operation with truly state of the art SNG technology.
